Raising Children, Shaping Futures—Together

Principal's Corner

Dear Parents,

Warm greetings from Chanderbala Modi Academy.

As we turn the pages of this month’s magazine and relive the flurry of learning, celebration, and discovery that has filled our campus, my heart swells with pride. But beyond the joy of achievement, I feel the need to pause and reflect—with you—on something deeper: the world we are shaping for our children.

Let us travel back in time—not too far, just one generation. Most of us were raised by parents who may not have held academic degrees, who did not have access to technology or formal parenting strategies. Yet they gifted us something far more enduring—their time, their faith, their quiet discipline, and the wisdom to let us fall and rise on our own. From those humble homes, we emerged as scientists, doctors, teachers, engineers, and visionaries emerged—not despite their simplicity, but perhaps because of it.

Today, we, their children, are accomplished professionals. We run businesses, lead teams, manage households with efficiency. And yet, in this fast-paced life, time slips quietly through our fingers. We love our children deeply—but in the rush to provide, we often overcompensate. In the place of presence, we offer screens. In the name of love, we shield them from discomfort. In the name of pride, we sometimes defend their mistakes—by blaming the teacher, doubting the school, or questioning the system. But when we do so, we do not protect our children—we unintentionally weaken them.

It is true: almost every child above Grade V today carries a smartphone. But are these devices making them wiser—or simply distracting them from the beauty of stillness, of imagination, of conversation? Are we giving them the tools to grow—or tools to escape?

When we place ourselves above those who work with our children every day—when we criticise before we understand—we erode the very foundation that holds them steady. And in this erosion, the ones who pay the price are not us, but the children we seek to protect.

At Chanderbala Modi Academy, we remain unwavering in our commitment to nurturing not just academic excellence, but strong values, emotional intelligence, and responsible independence. It is a joy to share that our journey is now further empowered by the addition of our new Vice Principal, Mr Shrinivas Nikhade—a dedicated and dynamic leader whose presence has already brought renewed energy to our mission.

In the weeks gone by, the school has witnessed a cascade of meaningful engagements—from thought-provoking assemblies and innovative workshops to spirited competitions and heartwarming celebrations. The pages ahead will offer a glimpse of this vibrant journey.

Dear parents, let us remember—we are not raising children to fit into our world. We are preparing them to shape a better one. So let us stand not in opposition, but in partnership—with each other, with the school, and with the values we hope to pass on. Let us raise children who are not just successful, but gentle, wise, and whole.

With deep sincerity and hope,

R.Nagarajan

Teacher Training Workshop ON

Transactional Analysis

Ankleshwar | 3rd June 2025

Chanderbala Modi Academy organized a teacher training workshop on Transactional Analysis, facilitated by Dr. Sapna Chauhan, an Accredited Management Teacher in Behavioral Science from Parul University, certified by AIMA.

This enriching session was designed to empower educators with psychological tools for improved communication, classroom engagement, and self-awareness. Based on the theories of renowned psychiatrist Eric Berne, Transactional Analysis (TA) explores how individuals interact socially through three ego states: Parent, Adult, and Child.

The workshop covered the following key concepts:

· Johari Window – Enhancing self-awareness and interpersonal communication

· Ego States – Patterns of thinking and behavior that influence teaching dynamics

· Life Scripts – Unconscious narratives formed in childhood that impact adult behavior

· Life Positions – Fundamental beliefs about self and others that affect relationships

· Transactions – Basic units of social interaction in both educational and personal contexts

Through interactive discussions and practical applications, teachers gained valuable insights into emotional intelligence, the role of feedback, and reflective teaching practices. The workshop emphasized the importance of recognizing blind spots and creating emotionally safe classrooms.

It was a transformative experience that equipped educators to respond mindfully and build deeper, more meaningful connections with students and colleagues.

Resonating Rhythms: CMA’s Soulful Celebration of World Music Day

Ankleshwar : 15th June, 2025

On the melodious occasion of World Music Day, Chanderbala Modi Academy transformed into a vibrant haven of harmony and expression, where every note struck a chord with the soul. The school resonated with rhythm, melody, and passion as students and teachers came together to celebrate music — the eternal language that connects hearts beyond boundaries.

The assembly began on a serene note with a soulful Aalap, rendered beautifully by Tamanna Majumdar, enveloping the atmosphere in calm and inviting everyone to surrender to the spirit of music.

In a divine tribute, students of Classes IV and V presented the devotional hymn “He Sharde Maa”, seeking the blessings of Goddess Saraswati, the revered embodiment of music, wisdom, and creativity.

Carrying the theme forward, Vivaan Vasania introduced the Word of the Day — Musicosophy — a term that captured music’s power to inspire healing, transformation, and personal growth.

The event also featured an engaging Music Quiz, conducted by Kripit Jain and Tamanna Majumdar, which transformed knowledge into an interactive, joyful musical journey — more a celebration than a competition.

Bringing coherence and charm to the program was Aayush Shandilya, who anchored the celebration with confidence, grace, and poise, ensuring a seamless flow from one segment to the next.

The success of the celebration was made possible by the dedicated efforts of Mr. Pratik Panchal, the school’s enthusiastic Music Teacher, whose creative guidance brought each performance to life. Heartfelt thanks were also extended to the entire faculty for their constant support and encouragement.

The program culminated with words of praise from Principal Mr. Ramjee Nagarajan, who lauded the efforts of both students and staff for orchestrating such a meaningful and memorable tribute to music.

Music is built not just with words, but also with feelings and melodies of ages.”

His words served as a powerful reminder of how music transcends speech, expressing emotions and stories that language alone often cannot convey.

Navya Shukla took the stage to present the News Segment, highlighting significant global musical events and proudly celebrating the achievements of CMA’s own young talents in various musical endeavours.

A captivating highlight of the event was the performance of the Panchmahabhootam Shlokas, where students artistically expressed the unity of music with the five elements — Air, Fire, Space, Earth, and Water. This performance was a graceful fusion of Vedic tradition and musical imagination

Adding depth to the celebration, a thought-provoking skit urged the audience to shed societal expectations and follow the rhythm of their own hearts. The skit, much like a heartfelt composition, resonated with authenticity and emotion.

This historic event also saw the unveiling of the Foundation Stone and the inauguration of the NCC Classroom, which will serve as centres for discipline, transformation, and learning beyond textbooks.

The purpose of starting the NCC unit is to instil among students the values of discipline, leadership, physical fitness, team spirit, and a deep-rooted love for the country. It offers cadets the opportunity to undergo military-style training, participate in camps and community services, and develop life skills that will serve them throughout their journey, whether they choose the defence forces or any walk of life.

This is not just a new chapter in CMA’s story—it’s a turning point. The combined efforts of Principal Mr. Ramjee Nagarajan and Mr. Dipankar Biswas have ensured that generations of students will now walk with a stronger stride, think with sharper focus, and live with a deeper sense of duty.

As the event concluded with the cadets standing proud in uniform, the message was loud and clear—Chanderbala Modi Academy doesn’t just prepare students for exams; it prepares them for life, for service, and for the nation.

And with this NCC unit, that preparation has reached a whole new level of purpose and pride.
